leaving a legacy
in the past five years (wow), this site has come to mean a lot to me. i've strived to make it an enjoyable visit for the fans who come here, not only in that it's a nice site, but that it's different. i try to make it very much my own, with my own distinct style and biases, while still able to appeal to the community.
i may not be able to update frequently, but i try to make it so that you can come once in a while between updates and still not be bored. i try to offer more than copy-and-pasted profiles, an image gallery, and the same archive of fanfiction. there are some f/f sites who do go above this, but not many. few to none go above and beyond this default list. i try very hard to do so.
the anime community as a whole has been deteriorating as far as great shrines go. the good ones aren't exactly few and far between, but you do have to wade through a lot of crap to get to them. too many people are creating shrines just because they can, and not taking the time to put any content in them. they all have the same information, which is boring beyond explination. i'm not asking for a layout that will blow me away, or perfect grammar on each of your hundred pages of essays. just some original content that's exclusive to your own site.
i used to be rather well-known in the MKR community, especially in the fuu/ferio sect. i think i still am, as i'm still sometimes referred to as the biggest fuu and/or ferio fan around (although that can be debated!).
there have been many shrines in the community that are legends, so to speak. they've left a mark on the fans and we remember their sites. battle scars was the only good ferio shrine around; the voice of reason was (and still is) the most famous fuu shrine; cephiro, run by fuu-chan, was the general MKR site of its time. i don't know if this site is remembered. but i feel i've done my job in the past to make this shrine different and beneficial for everyone. and, i hope, memorable. :3
