fuu in-depth ~
there is much more to hououji fuu than the basics. she is a very deep character, at least i think so. ^^

first of all, her appearance is more than just random character design. the way that her hair curls around her chin resembles the way wind is often illustrated -- like loose spirals. the fact that it's short shows that she's one of those people that like to keep their appearance simple and clean, no-fuss. her eyes are deep green, the color associated with earth and wind, her magical element. fuu's eyes have a droopy, sad look to them, most likely because of her position as a social outcast all of her life, shunned because of her intelligence. even when she smiles, her eyes hold a melancholy tone in themselves. also, she and ferio color-coordinate, which is just too cute.
fuu's clothing is also simple. her school uniform consists simply of a green vest over a white blazer, a green pleated skirt of modest length and brown shoes. she wears a red headband to keep her hair out of her face which matches her little bow on the collar of her blazer and simple white socks. when she's wearing clothing other than her school uniform, it's ususally slightly sophisticated, as she most likely comes from a higher social status.
where to i get that theory? first of all, as we see in the first episode of MKR2, fuu lives in a large house, indicating that her family must have a pretty good amount of money. she goes to a private, all-girls school (which isn't uncommon in japan, but still ^-^). also, she is respectful, referring to everyone (minus ferio and windam) with "-san." this could just be her character, but her older sister refers to fuu respectfully as well ("fuu-san"), so it's more likely that they were raised this way.
fuu's two closest friends: shidou hikaru and ryuuzaki umi. these three have gone through a lot together and are as close as sisters. they take care of each other and fuu loves her comrades very much.
hikaru and umi were fuu's first real friends, making them all the more special. they don't even notice the fact that she's brilliant makes her different -- to them she's just fuu-chan. although she refers to them as "hikaru-san" and "umi-san," i think it's more out of habit and how she was raised, because the three are very close and hikaru calls them "umi-chan" and "fuu-chan."
